TQG LegalTech Award & TQG Design Thinking Award

Since 2019, The Quality Group GmbH has been sponsoring the study courses Business Law (Bachelor) and Legal Management (Master LL.M.) at the HTWG Konstanz. Two prizes are awarded to the graduates: the "TQG LegalTech Award" for the best thesis in the field of Legal Tech and the "TQG Design Thinking Award" for the most creative student in the field of Design Thinking.

Award ceremony 2023 on October 13th, 2023

Once again, The Quality Group Gmbh (TQG) has rewarded excellent student achievements in the field of business law: at the graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Business Law of the HTWG Konstanz on October 13, 2023, the "TQG LegalTech Award" for the best thesis in the field of legal tech and the "TQG Design Thinking Award" for the most creative student in the field of design thinking were presented - this year already for the fifth time.

Steffen Schaar, Member of the Board of The Quality Group and lecturer in the Master's program in "Contract Management/Negotiation" presented the awards to the graduates of the Business Law (Bachelor) and Legal Management (Master LL.M.) programs during the ceremony at the Comturey on Mainau Island.

Alicia Mayer was awarded the "TQG Design Thinking Award" for her bachelor thesis on the topic "The Supply Chain Due Diligence Act - Development of a Guide for the Implementation of Risk Analysis and Preventive and Remedial Measures". The "TQG Legal Tech Award" was given to Patricia Artukovic for her thesis "Digitalization of small and medium-sized enterprises in the construction industry in Germany: challenges, opportunities and risks as well as development of a digitalization strategy".

"I am pleased to be able to award such outstanding work again this year," Schaar said at the award ceremony. "Both students have combined theory and practice in a special way, displaying business law expertise that deserves special mention."

As part of the graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Business Law at HTWG Konstanz, The Quality Group (TQG) presented two awards for excellent student achievements for the 4th time. The "TQG LegalTech Award" for the best thesis in the field of legal tech was awarded to Carolin Fleischle for her master thesis on the topic of corporate diversification in times of crisis. Philipp Paul Heck was awarded the "TQG Design Thinking Award" as the most creative student in the field of design thinking for his master's thesis entitled "Application of Artificial Intelligence in Contract Analysis".

Steffen Schaar, Member of the Board of The Quality Group and lecturer in the master's year program in "Contract Management/Negotiation" presented the awards to the graduates of the Business Law (Bachelor) and Legal Management (Master LL.M.) programs on Friday at the Comturey on Mainau Island.

"I am pleased to stand in front of all of you in person again," Mr. Schaar emphasized. "Today, we are honoring special achievements in your degree programs together, but I would also like to express my great appreciation to all of you and congratulate you most warmly on completing your studies. I call out to you: With your legal competence and business expertise, you will help determine the digital future of companies! We look forward to it!"

During the event, Lucas Zoller was also honored as the best graduate in the master's program. Lucas Zoller is one of the founding members of the Association of Business Lawyers (VWJ), with which TQG entered into a technology and service partnership in March. Steffen Schaar also addressed this in his laudation: "This partnership is the consistent continuation of our commitment to promote the connection between teaching and business, to facilitate the graduates' entry into the professional world and to create a joint network!"

For the third time, The Quality Group GmbH has presented the TQG LegalTech Award and the TQG Design Thinking Award: both awards honor outstanding achievements and impressive approaches by graduates of the Business Law Department of the Konstanz University of Applied Sciences (HTWG Konstanz).

The "TQG LegalTech Award" for the best thesis in the field of legal tech went to Joshua Marvin Kämmle and Hannah Bindschädel was awarded the "TQG Design Thinking Award" as the most creative student in the field of design thinking.

The trophies were presented by Steffen Schaar, Member of the Board of The Quality Group and lecturer in the Master's year subject "Contract Management/Negotiation", during the festive graduation ceremony of the Business Law program on Mainau Island.
"The work of the two prize winners is very demanding and just by reading and understanding it, one understands the great ideas and commitment that went into the work," said Schaar enthusiastically. "Thank you very much that we as TQG, and I personally, are allowed to participate in this valuable award ceremony for their 2021 study program and to support the university, thus making a joint contribution for the appreciation to educate and support young people."

Good performance and innovative approach HTWG Konstanz will be rewarded again this year with the TQG LegalTech Award and the TQG Design Thinking Award.

David Heieck received the "TQG LegalTech Award" for the best thesis in the field of LegalTech and Johanna Franziska Höfer was honored as the most creative student in the field of Design Thinking with the "TQG Design Thinking Award".

The award ceremony took place in a small setting at the HTWG Konstanz this year, due to the applicable hygiene and distance rules. Only the award winners accompanied by the laudators and Prof. Dr. Burkhard Kahre as the representative of the study program were present. The Quality Group was represented by Steffen Schaar, Member of the Board of The Quality Group and lecturer in the Master's program in "Contract Management/Negotiation".

"Honour to whom honour is due, we honour a special class today", emphasised Steffen Schaar, "We are pleased to present the awards for excellent student performance personally, say thank you and express our appreciation for all graduates. It is your turn now - use your legal competence and business expertise to help shape the digital future of companies!

During the graduation ceremony of the Business Law Department of the HTWG Konstanz, The Quality Group presented two awards for excellent student performance. Steffen Schaar, Member of the Board of The Quality Group and lecturer since 2018 in the Master's class in "Contract Management/Negotiation", presented the awards to graduates of the study courses Business Law (Bachelor) and Legal Management (Master LL.M.) in Konstanz on 25th May. Nicole Neubrander received the "TQG LegalTech Award" for the best final thesis in the field of LegalTech and Carina Groß was awarded the "TQG Design Thinking Award" as the most creative student in the field of Design Thinking.

"A good class which is being honored today", said Steffen Schaar, "These graduates will help to shape the everyday life of digital companies and bring along legal competence combined with economic expertise. This is what drives us to honour the best in both categories. We are happy and say thanks and appreciation to all graduates."

Dean of Studies Prof. Dr. Katrin Klodt-Bußmann, HTWG Konstanz, adds: "Thank you very much for awarding the two innovative prizes for our best graduates in the fields of Legal Tech and Legal Design Thinking!
